Ben Corkum joined Kennedy Schofield Lawyers as an Articled Clerk in 2018 and is pleased to be returning as an Associate with the firm.
Ben will be practicing in the areas of civil litigation, family law, wills and estates planning, and probate.
Ben will be offering mobile services to his clients. If you are unable to meet at our office, he will be happy to attend a more convenient location within the Halifax Regional Municipality. While he appreciates standard office hours, he understands that typical office hours may not work for everyone, and can be flexible with meeting clients when needed.
When he is not working, Ben enjoys journeys through parks in the Halifax Regional Municipality, watching waterfowl and other wildlife in their natural habitats, pursuing artistic and creative endeavors, and furthering his knowledge and understanding of intellectual property and media law.
Ben was born and raised in Nova Scotia. He graduated from Saint Mary’s University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Criminology, cum laude. Ben graduated from Dalhousie Schulich School of Law in 2015. During his studies at Dalhousie, Ben participated in a pro bono placement where he assisted in researching, studying, and drafting disability rights and accessibility legislation with other students and members of the James McGregor Stewart Society.
