A Little About Amanda

Amanda practices in the areas of real estate law, wills and estates, and corporate law.

In addition to her legal knowledge and caring approach, you will also experience her comfort of technological advances used in today’s legal field and the concept of bringing legal services to you as a mobile option. She appreciates typical office hours may not work for everyone and can be flexible with meeting clients within the Halifax Regional Municipality at a mutually convenient time, including early morning, evening and weekend appointments, plus the convenience of Skype meetings!

Amanda was born and raised in the Halifax area and is truly committed to serving her community through volunteering and helping others. She has volunteered with the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia providing legal information to the public, participated in the Dalhousie Legal Aid Wills Project which provided wills to low income seniors, she’s on the Board of Directors for the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank and routinely presents to various community groups including the Military Family Resource Centre. As a military spouse, working with other military families is of special interest to her and has often gone the extra mile to support members during tight timelines of deployments, house hunting trips and military exercises.

Additionally, Amanda is a member of the Women’s Forum, Real Estate Law, Wills and Probate sections of the Nova Scotia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, graduated cum laude from Saint Mary’s University, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Political Science and Religious Studies as well as a minor in French, and completed her law degree at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University earning her a Juris Doctorate degree with a Certificate in Business Law.
